About The Western States Machine Company

The Western States Machine Company was founded in 1917 to develop and manufacture improvements for centrifugals in the sugar industry. In 1950, Western States expanded its centrifugal line to include centrifuges for non-sugar industries including separation of fine chemicals, agricultural chemicals and pharmaceuticals. Since its inception, Western States has grown to become a world-wide supplier of centrifugals for both the sugar and non-sugar industries, with more than 6,000 centrifugals installed.
• 2007 Western States celebrates its 90th Anniversary and continues to provide extraordinary equipment and service to its customers.
• 2005 Second Generation TITAN Centrifugals are most efficient and reliable in class.
• 2002 First 1400 mm continuous centrifugal developed.
• 2001 First 2,425 kg batch centrifuge developed.
• 1999 The Ultrasonic Load Control is patented.
• 1995 The TITAN self-supporting batch centrifugal is developed.
• 1994 The CC-8 (a.k.a. TITAN 1300) continuous centrifugal is developed and incorporates improved feed control and operator interface.
• 1991 Capitrol Load Control system is developed.
• 1988 The Con-Cent (Continuous Centrifuge) is developed for chemical and non-sugar food applications.
• 1985 Western States develops the first USDA Approved continuous centrifugal for processing Lactose.
• 1984 Programmable Controls are added to automate batch centrifugals and improve productivity.
• 1982 The Quadra-Clean chemical centrifuge incorporates Clean-In-Place (CIP) technology.
• 1977 The larger CC-6 continuous centrifugal is developed and incorporates many improvements in feed control.
