Advantages
1. Gentle - Discharge is performed strictly by inverting the filter cloth and spinning the product off centrifugally. There is NO KNIFE or BLADE to damage long or delicate crystals or friable products.
2. Improved CIP - NO moving parts other than the filter cloth, movable platen and basket. Elimination of the discharge knife, feed line, spray line and load control* removes potential areas of contamination and greatly improves cleanability.
*Load control (basket fill level) is performed by a proprietary load cell arrangement.
3. Rear slurry/liquid feed line eliminates all front feed and wash connections and seals.
4. Drying inside the centrifuge is possible with up to 80 psig differential pressure across the cake. Dry gas or heated gas can be used to remove bound moisture.
